The information we collect depends on how you interact with Reboot.

When you contact us or make a submission through Build With Us, we may collect information such as your name, email address, telephone number, role, company or organisation, website, market or location, business, idea or opportunity details, and other information you choose to provide.

The information requested may differ depending on whether you approach Reboot about building a company, an existing business, investment, partnership, operating with us or another relationship.

Where available, you may also choose to provide one supporting PDF document. Please only provide information that is relevant to your submission and that you are authorised to share with Reboot.

We may also process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website, including information associated with requests made to our systems.

We may use personal data to receive, review and respond to enquiries and submissions; evaluate ideas, businesses, investment opportunities, partnerships and other potential relationships; communicate with you about your submission or relationship with Reboot; conduct appropriate due diligence where an opportunity progresses; operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our website and submission processes; maintain appropriate business and operational records; and comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

Submitting information to Reboot does not create an investment, advisory, partnership, employment or other contractual relationship and does not oblige Reboot to pursue an opportunity.

We process personal data only where we have an appropriate lawful basis.

Depending on the nature of your interaction with us, this may include taking steps at your request in connection with a potential business or contractual relationship; Reboot’s legitimate interests in receiving, evaluating and managing opportunities and relationships; complying with legal or regulatory obligations; or your consent, where consent is required for a particular processing activity.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent, subject to any other lawful basis on which we may continue processing the information.

Access to personal data is limited to people within Reboot who need it for the purposes described in this Notice.

We may also use trusted technology and professional service providers to support our website, communications, storage, security and business operations. Those providers may process personal data on our behalf or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

We do not sell your personal data.

We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process or a competent authority, or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights or protect Reboot, our users or others.

Reboot uses technology infrastructure that results in some personal data submitted through this website being processed or stored outside Nigeria, including in the United States.

Where personal data is transferred internationally, Reboot takes appropriate steps to ensure that the transfer and subsequent processing are handled in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements and appropriate safeguards.

For Build With Us submissions, our intended retention period is up to 12 months from the last relevant interaction.

We may retain information for longer where reasonably necessary because we are actively engaging with you or pursuing an opportunity; a business or contractual relationship has developed; we are required to retain it by law or regulation; or it is reasonably necessary to resolve a dispute or establish, exercise or defend legal rights.

When personal data is no longer reasonably required, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise dispose of it securely.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse or destruction.

However, no system for transmitting or storing information can guarantee absolute security.
